macOS

Universal .dmg covers both Apple Silicon and Intel.

First-launch steps (for unsigned and unnotarized builds):

1. Open skulpton-mac-universal.dmg and drag skulpton.app into Applications
2. Try opening skulpton.app once, then close the macOS warning
3. Open Apple menu → System Settings → Privacy & Security
4. Scroll down to Security and click Open Anyway for skulpton.app
5. Confirm by clicking Open Anyway again and enter your login password if requested
6. Subsequent launches from Applications are normal

The Open Anyway button is available for about one hour after step 2. Only continue after confirming that the file came from the official download. See Apple’s guidance for details.

Windows

Windows 10 or later (x64). Pick either the NSIS installer or the MSI.

MSI installer

First-launch steps (the build is not code-signed yet):

1. Running the installer shows a SmartScreen warning
2. Click More info, then click Run anyway
3. Follow the installer
4. Subsequent launches are normal

Only continue after confirming that the file came from the official download.

System requirements

• macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later — Apple Silicon / Intel
• Windows 10 or later — x64
• RAM: 4 GB recommended
• MIDI: built-in on macOS; on Windows a virtual port tool such as loopMIDI is recommended (MIDI Setup)

Licensing

• Free — up to 8 tracks, permanent, no signup
• Pro — $0 during beta testing / all features unlocked

In-app auto-update is planned for a future build. For now, grab newer versions from this page and reinstall over the previous version.
